Dr. Deepak Sharma obtained his masters in chemical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago USA with research focus on optimization of fluidized catalytic cracker. After completing his masters Deepak joined a growing purification technology company where he conducted research on developing processes for the purification of sugars, active pharmaceutical ingredients, bio-fuels, fish oil etc. His research contributions have been recognized through granted process patents: US8704016B2; US20140179933A1; US8658845B2; US8802843B2. The processes developed in these patents have been commercialized and installed in New Zealand, Scotland, Italy, and USA. Deepak is currently working in the Engineering and Technology division of Bayer in St. Louis, USA. At Bayer Deepak has contributed immensely to the Agricultural crop protection industry by developing several crop protection formulation facilities in USA. Deepak has worked on development of several manufacturing facilities (multimillion-dollar facilities) for Bayer taking them from the lab scale to production scale. He is a senior member of AICHE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) and active member of several other chemical engineering organizations. In his 14 years of chemical engineering career Deepak has published several publications and attended different international conferences for chemical engineering in USA and India.
