Dr. Pierre A. Hanna

Biography

Dr. Pierre A. Hanna is an academic staff at faculty of pharmacy, Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt, 2006 – up to date. He was graduated with grade A with honor. His master’s degree research focused on targeting drugs at site of absorption and modifying release pattern to maximize their effect and reduce the side effects to the minimum. His doctorate research focused on utilization of nanotechnology to maximize drug absorption through skin using betamethasone dipropionate as a model drug. He participated in many research projects for formulation of bioactive drugs in the forms of dental gels, pessaries, topical gels, tablets, nanosuspension, and many other drug delivery systems. He attended more than 16 national and international conferences and presented more than 15 abstracts. He has many publications in the field of modified release drug delivery systems and drug targeting. He was granted the ParOwn grant from Egyptian ministery of higher education in 2009.



Research Interest's

Dr. Pierre research work focuses mainly on formulation of smart drug delivery systems to deliver drugs into specified region/organ/tissue over certain period of time.
