Dr. Sharanabasappa B Patil obtained his Bachelors & Masters in Science from Gulbarga University, Kalburgi. After having qualified the UGC-RFMS, he worked as a UGC-Junior Research Fellow in the department of Chemistry, Gulbarga University Kalburgi & thereafter continued as a CSIR-Senior Research Fellow after having received the CSIR-SRF National fellowship. He received his PhD in Chemistry (Pharmaceutical) from Gulbarga University in 2012 for his Doctoral work on “Synthesis and Pharmacological Evaluation of modified pyrimidine’s and other heterocyles”. Dr. Sharanabasappa B Patil joined the Department of Chemistry in 2012 as a Assistant Professor, Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore-54. He has published about 15 research papers in peer reviewed journals & conferences. He Received Teaching Excellence Award during Indo-Global Education Summit and Expo 2017 conducted by Indus foundation, On July 24th2017 at hotel Lalit Ashok, Bangalore and Young Faculty in Science award from Venus International Foundation (VIFA-2017) on July 8th 2017 at hotel Green Park Chennai. He is convener and organizing committee member for National conference, Workshops, Seminars and many Faculty development Programmes, He delivered many invited guest lecturers in Faculty Development Programmes and Post graduate centers. He is a life member of Luminescence Society of India: Karnataka Centre (LSIKC)) & a member of the Indian Council of Chemist and Indian Chemical Society. He is a reviewer of International Journal of Modern Trends in Engineering and Science (IJMTES)-ISRD Allied International Journal. He is currently guiding MSc (Organic Chemistry.) students and PhD Students under VTU.
