Asst. Prof. Dr. Omer Abdalla Ahmed Hamdi Obtained his B.Sc (Hons) and master degree in Chemistry from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. He completed his Ph.D. in Natural Products Chemistry from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He worked a Post-doctoral research fellow at Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, United Kingdom for six months.
He is an assistant professor of Chemistry of natural products at Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Alneelain University, Sudan. He is a well-trained, highly experienced in structure elucidation of organic compounds. He is in editorial board and he is a regular reviewer of some International and Sudanese Journals.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Omer Abdalla Ahmed Hamdi research goal is mainly drug discovery from natural products. He focuses on the isolation and characterization of anticancer, analgesic, neuroprotective, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiaging and antimicrobial agents from medicinal plants.
