Dr. Ghalia KHODER has earned her phD in Proteomic Microbiology at Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Poitiers, France in 2008 and her MSc. in Physiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Poitiers, Faculty of Fundamental and Applied Sciences, France in 2005. Her main research interest are H. pylori biomarkers predictive of gastric cancer and MALT-lymphoma using an innovative technique : Protein Chip technology and SELDI-TOF-MS. During her post-doctoral research at Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at United Arab University, Dr. Ghalia khoder has gained experience in the field of gastric stem cells and gastric epithelial cells as main host of H. pylori. Currently, she is interested in studying the potential roles of probiotics in the management of gastric diseases such as gastric ulcer and gastric cancer as well as the effects of probiotics on H. pylori and biofilms. Another field of her research interests is the antibiotic resistance pattern of H. pylori in UAE. Dr. Ghalia Khoder is currently working as an Assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy, department of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology, University of Sharjah since 2015. She has worked previously for 5 years as an Assistant professor at College of pharmacy at al Ain university and was in charge of the biomedical department.
