Abhishek Kumar Verma is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Life Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology at Mewar University. Specifically, my experience with reviewing literature and writing various academic reports, as evident from the publications listed in my resume, has equipped me with the reading and writing skills you are looking for in your ideal candidate. On the technical side, I have extensive experience working with Bioinformatics analysis tools, namely Molecular Docking- Schrodinger (Maestro), Ligand scout, PyRx, Auto Dock Vina, RunMtiAutodock, and Run MtiopenScreen, MD Simulation, Protein Preparation, Visualization and Modelling: Phyre 2 Server, SWISS Model, String Database, Chimera, VMD, LigPlus++, PyMOL, Discovery Studio Visualizer, RasWin, Avogadro, USCF Chimera and Other Bioinformatics Tools- MEGA-X, NAMD, SPDBV, Pharmacophore Modelling. Together with the theoretical knowledge I’ve gained over the years (e.g., Biochemistry, Life Sciences) and my love for spreadsheets and analysis, this part of the research assistantship is what attracts and excites me the most. I have publications in various national and international journal, book chapter and edited book (Mayadhar Barik, Abhishek Kumar Verma. A Textbook of the SARS-CoV-2: Guidelines and Protocol Development. Mahi International Publisher Ahmadabad, India (published), ISSN: 978-93-89339-66-6 (Published Date- 24 July 2020. Through my prior academic projects, I have learnt how to manage my work in a collaborative environment. Furthermore, I understand the intricacies of research work. I can maintain focus on my individual tasks, with full knowledge of how they contribute to the overall research goals, no matter how mundane and repetitive my tasks are. As an addition, I can speak English, which should come in handy given how frequently your department collaborates with researchers from the Mewar University. Research Interest  Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Cell Signaling, Drug Delivery, Drug Discovery, Drug Design, Phytochemistry, Synthetic Compounds, Microbiology, Animal and Plant Physiology, Translational Medicine.  Description: Research ranges from studies on fundamental aspects of nuclear structure, yeast and mammalian genetics, and chromatin and DNA repair, to the biochemistry of disease states. Mechanisms of tumor growth/apoptosis, invasiveness, and metastasis and chemotherapy resistance are studied. Research efforts are also directed toward understanding the biochemical mechanisms underlying obesity, diabetes, and heart disease, as well as the role of chronic inflammation in cancer and metabolic disease.  Research focuses on the biochemistry and cell biology of lipids, cholesterol and fatty acids. Studies in chemical biology focus on the structural, functional and physical characterization of proteins and enzymes. Intein-mediated protein splicing also constitutes a major research interest
