Dr. Manukumar, H.M. holds Ph.D. honor in 2018 at Department of Biotechnology from University of Mysore, Mysore, Karnataka, India. He worked on molecular characterization of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), development novel diagnostic techniques, novel food packaging material, and novel route of nanoparticle synthesis to fight against resistant S. aureus is of research interest in his Ph.D. tenure and many colloborative research supported more than 50 peer-reviewed research publications in both national and international levels added to his credits as author and co-author, including publication from Scientific Reports from Nature publishers. Currently, as Postdoctoral Associate working at DUKE University, Department of Medicine-Infectious Diseases, USA and his research focused on understanding “mechanism of NAbs to prevent mother to children transmission (MTCT) of HIV-1 and identify genetic signature governing the MTCT" in the area of pediatric research. Also, he is medical writer in editing company, Shanghai, China., reviewer for Acta Scientific Microbiology and Acta Scientific Paediatrics.
Dr. Manukumar's research interests include Bacteriology; Virology-understand HIV origins, pathogenesis and drug resistance, and to design new AIDS vaccines; cancer biology.
